Sustain AGM and Annual Gathering
December 12 @ 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm£15 – £25
Join us for an evening of debate, celebration, and the opportunity to meet some of the UK’s leading sustainable food and farming organisations and initiatives. Sustain’s AGM starts at 6pm; the public event with guest speakers starts at 7pm.
We will be discussing How the Government’s new National Food Strategy can deliver on our aims. What can we learn from other Government plans in recent years about what is achievable? How much clout could such a strategy have? Can it balance a broad remit and focused meaningful action, to create a food system that is: healthy and affordable food for all people; restores and enhances the environment for the next generation; is robust in the face of future challenges and built upon a resilient and sustainable agriculture sector; and which creates an overarching, integrated food strategy for government?
We will be hearing from special guests and Sustain members from their experience and views on what is achievable and what is needed.
Starting at 6pm, our members’ AGM will be followed by a networking evening at 7pm, which we are opening to everyone. Talks will finish about 8.30pm, after which there will be an opportunity to meet, mingle, exchange views and information with attendees, over sustainable drinks and nibbles.
