The Grow Wild Content and Community Executive will deliver RBG Kew’s mission by creating and curating inspiring digital content that engages people in the wonder of UK native plants and fungi. The post will also be responsible for developing Grow Wild’s online community through our various social media channels.
Grow Wild is RBG Kew’s national outreach learning programme. It connects people across the UK to nature and each other by sharing UK native plants and fungi.
Grow Wild inspires children, young people and adults to take one million positive actions each year online and on-the-ground. Over 4.3 million people have taken part since 2012.
Grow Wild is supported by the Big Lottery Fund. It was publicly voted the UK’s Best Environment Project in the National Lottery Awards 2016 on BBC1. Details: www.growwilduk.com
The successful applicant will have excellent research, copywriting and editing skills, particularly for a digital environment, and will have experience commissioning content, including rich media. They will also have experience of successfully managing multiple social media accounts, with an intuitive grasp of how to maximise engagement and keep on top of emerging trends.
This Grow Wild role will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) and will be based Kew Gardens.
The salary will be £27,000 – £29,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
