Salary: £31,918 per annum (0.8FTE £39,897 pa)

Contract: Fixed term for 12 months, maternity cover

Hours: 30 hours per week

Soil Association Certification is the UK’s largest organic certification body, responsible for certifying over 70% of all organic products sold in the country. We certify organic food and farming, organic textiles and organic beauty products. Since 1973 our team has built up extensive practical experience and provide unrivalled support before, during and after certification.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Certification Manager (Producer) to lead a dedicated team delivering excellent certification services to all Soil Association farming and growing licensees.

Your role

You will manage the delivery of certification to all Soil Association organic farmers and growers in an effective and efficient way. You will develop, motivate and challenge the team to ensure high levels of customer service are delivered, our accreditation requirements are met, and our business plan is delivered. You will work collaboratively to retain and attract licensees into the business.

About you

You will have previous management and leadership experience and you will have a strong background in the farming industry with excellent communication and organisational skills. To be successful in this role you will need a high degree of integrity, a decisive, proactive and assertive character and be commercially astute. Although this role is mainly office based you will be required to build and maintain some external stakeholder relationships for the benefit of our licensees.
