  • ProVeg International

    Email:

ProVeg is an international food awareness organisation working across four continents. Its mission is to reduce the global consumption of animals by 50 per cent by the year 2040. Many of the world’s most urgent problems share a common cause: our food choices. ProVeg is dedicated to raising awareness of how we can tackle these problems through diet. Our food choices can become a multiproblem solution. ProVeg inspires and motivates people to live a more plant-based lifestyle by raising awareness of the five PROs – or reasons – for doing so. ProVeg supports everyone who is interested in changing their eating habits by providing practical information about how they can transition to animal-free alternatives. ProVeg collaborates with governments, public institutions, and the food industry to improve the taste, ease, and accessibility of plant-based food. ProVeg strives for a world where everyone chooses delicious and healthy food that is good for all humans, animals, and our planet.

  • Landworkers’ Alliance

    Email:

The Landworkers’ Alliance is a grassroots union of farmers, growers and land-based workers with a mission to improve the livelihoods of our members and create a better food system for everyone. We work for a future where farmers are able to work with dignity and earn a decent living, and people can access healthy, affordable food from local producers. We are a democratic member-led union, run by producers for producers. All our policies and representation comes from farmers, growers and land-based workers who have direct experiences of the issues we campaign on. We are members of La Via Campesina, the global movement of small-scale producers and peasant farmers. We stand for a food system based on the principles of food sovereignty where everybody has access to healthy, regionally produced, affordable food from farmers they can trust. We want to see power put back in the hands of producers and local communities rather than supermarkets and industrial processors. We believe that farmers and communities must be at the heart of decision-making and have a strong voice in agricultural policy making. What We Do Social Networks and Solidarity – We work to strengthen social networks and solidarity between farmers, growers and land-based workers. Training and Exchange – We work to increase the skills and knowledge of our members and organise trainings, skill-shares and exchanges. Media and Advocacy – We work to improve the public understanding of the role that small and medium-scale agroecological farms play in creating a better food system. Campaigning Read more [...]
