The Organic Delivery Company have been delivering the best in organic food to people’s houses and place of work since 1999. We are small enough to know who our customers are and to be able to take care of them and at the same time big enough to bring our customers the benefits of our large range of fresh produce and grocery lines. We work with some of the best organic growers in the UK to bring you the finest organic fresh produce. The produce comes straight from the farm to our packing and distribution hub in London where we pack it fresh on a daily basis. Outside UK seasons and to expand the range we offer, we have similar arrangement with growers from throughout Europe and in some cases even further afield. To this we add a range of carefully selected grocery and household items to increase our product range and the choice open to our customers. We are certified and inspected by the Soil Association.

Growing Communities is a social enterprise in Hackney that aims to create community-led alternatives to the current damaging food system. We run an organic fruit and vegetable box scheme, a certified farmers’ market every Saturday in Stoke Newington, where all the producers sell organic, biodynamic or wild produce, and three urban market gardens in Hackney parks where we grow organic, zero-food-miles salad for the box scheme and local restaurants and cafés. Local schools, residents and groups with special needs can visit the growing sites to  learn more about organic food growing or to become a regular volunteer. Growing Communities is working to improve what we eat, how we eat and how it’s farmed. Visit the website for more details of how to get involved or to join the box scheme.

We provide learning experiences to enhance the public’s understanding of farming and demonstrate how food can be produced in a sustainable way. These include: Adult learning workshops – in three broad areas: horticulture, eco-building, food and cookery; Children’s activities – including Forest School, vegetable growing and theatre workshops; School visits – primary and secondary; Employee volunteering/team building.   Why learn with us? The Farm is a real-life example of community-owned organic agriculture; Specialists in particular areas of expertise lead our workshops and visits, be they our own staff or carefully-selected tutors; Many of our workshops and activities are ‘hands-on’, so you can learn by doing; Learning takes place in the setting of a working farm, so it is easier to see how what you learn might be applied in the real world; We are located in beautiful surroundings overlooking Chew Lake; We have a purpose-built yurt for the indoor elements of our workshops and visits; there are also toilets, hand-wash, and tea and coffee-making facilities; The farm provides an opportunity for you to socialise with other members of your community.   Also offers box scheme for local delivery
