    Arthur’s has been trading for over thirty years, firstly as a wholefood shop and, since 2002, as an organic veg-box scheme for Norfolk. We provide a regular home delivery service of Soil Association-certified vegetables and fruit. Standard boxes or ‘choose your own. Packed by experts and delivered with a cheery smile (most days, conditions apply) with local (East Anglian) produce used whenever available. Organic, Norfolk free-range eggs, locally milled flour, locally pressed apple juice and general wholefoods also included. Our main suppliers are Grahame and Lizzie Hughes, who were pioneers in the organic movement and who now wholesale from local farmers and grow under 1/4 acre of glass near Attleborough. Our delivery area includes Norwich and the towns of Dereham, Watton, Thetford, Wymondham, Attleborough, Long Stratton. We have extended our area to include Beccles, Bungay and Halesworth. The national schemes just can’t compete with us for freshness and minimum food miles.

The name ‘Devon Rose’ came originally from Rose Dean a bastion of good eating. Basil Dean continued the family tradition, with an impressive career in meat spanning over 55 years. Sadly Basil passed away in February of 2016 but his legacy lives on. In 2018 Devon Rose joined forces with another family-run business with an impressive pedigree in meat. The Greig family, known for sustainable farming and their award-winning online meat business, Pipers Farm. Today the Devon Rose team continue to purvey the finest meat, based on time-honoured principals.

    Established in 1850, the company is now run by Danny Lidgate, the fifth generation of this family-run business, specialising in organic and free-range meat, game and poultry, together with a wide range of cheeses, cooked meats and delicatessen products. Customer service is provided by helpful and knowledgeable staff and the quality of goods is maintained by close links with the farmers who produce the meat, including the Highgrove Estate of the Prince of Wales. As well as serving local London customers from their Holland Park shop, Lidgates now offers a nationwide delivery service and a free delivery to London NW, SW and W postcodes. Also runs butchery classes.
