  • Hen Corner

    Email:

Hen Corner is a little bit of country life in London that brings an oasis of calm to busy routines. We’ve got an overflowing kitchen garden, eleven fruit & nut trees, a growing flock of hens and a few colonies of honey bees. With a shed storing chutneys, preserves and our cider press; we’ve got big ambitions! You may not be as excited as us when we see the first spears of asparagus peeping through, but we know that they’ll be great with a home-made hollandaise… We are trying to live more sustainably and encourage others to with our Courses, Blog and Media Contributions. We often have surplus produce that we are happy to sell on.

  • Wild Food UK

We like wild food. We forage it, harvest it, cook it, dry it, prepare it, store it and eat it. Foraging for us started with a genuine love of the great outdoors and a passion for food, combining both turns our walks in the woods and by the seaside into childlike treasure hunts. We like to share this almost forgotten knowledge and pass it on so that hopefully foraging in the UK can be kept alive for future generations. We hold foraging courses around the UK so that you should be able to find a course near you. We meet at a venue, often a pub, where we will discuss the do’s and don’ts of foraging followed by a gentle two and a half hour walk where we will identify and talk about wild foods and have a few wild food snacks along the way. At the end of the walk we will have a light wild food lunch and answer any questions about wild foods. A list and description of everything we found will then be sent to you to remind you of the various wild plants and mushrooms we discovered on the walk.
