The policy: This privacy policy notice is for this website (https://locavoremagazine.co) and the print magazine Locavore Magazine; it is served by The Green Guide Ltd, publisher of Locavore Magazine in print and online, Registered Office address 15 Station Road, St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, PE27 5BH; and it governs the privacy of those who use the website and subscribe to or purchase the print magazine.

The purpose of this policy is to explain to you how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information while browsing or using this website, including your rights under current laws and regulations. We do not process or have access at any stage to your credit card or debit card information when you make a purchase on this site. Payments are handled by a third-party such as PayPal or Stripe.

    The reason we use this basis: if you purchase a physical product (eg magazine, book, T-shirt, other merchandise) or when your add a listing (standard or free or purchase a paid-for upgrade) or if you purchase a subscription to the print magazine, or if a transaction takes place between you and us.
    We process your information in the following ways: we save your name (when provided by you), your email address, your physical address (when provided by you), your telephone number (when provided by you)and your newsletter preferences. We also maintain a record of how we contact you via email newsletters (for example, our Friday Feed) and we maintain a database of print magazine subscribers. If you register as a user/subscriber/customer on this website we also keep the details provided by you in order to sign up.     The reason we use this basis: for accounting purposes and records and for when we collect information for inclusion in our online directory or offline database of local, seasonal, sustainable and slow food businesses, suppliers, projects or organisations or other related entities such as individuals or academic institutions, or in relation to the ongoing research of the Green Guide in researching information on green, sustainable and ethical businesses, good, products, services, projects, organsations or individuals.
    We process your information in the following ways: we maintain records for accounting purposes and when we research and retain data such as organisation name, physical address, online address, description, memberships, social media accounts, etc

Email marketing messages & subscription

Under the GDPR we use the consent lawful basis for anyone subscribing to our newsletter or marketing mailing list. We only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the “Processing of your personal date” above. Any email marketing messages we send are done so through an EMS, email marketing service provider. An EMS is a third party service provider of software / applications that allows marketers to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users.

Email marketing messages that we send may contain tracking beacons / tracked clickable links or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of data such as; times, dates, I.P addresses, opens, clicks, forwards, geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.

Any email marketing messages we send are in accordance with the GDPR and the PECR.
